Sector Overview

Employment across occupational health and safety-related jobs is projected to increase through 2029, according to Bureau of Labors Statistics.

OSHA requires that employers provide workers with a safe and healthful workplace. In a strong economic region like the Bay Area, knowledgeable safety and health professionals are needed to support the prevention of work-related injuries, illnesses, and fatalities. With numerous industries in the East Bay, the need for worker safety is always present and growing.

Whether you are new to the field of occupational safety or want to increase your knowledge and skill level, completing an OSHA education program will positively contribute to the economic vitality of the Bay Area and help our workforce return home safe to their families.

The OSHA Training Institute Education Center in Pleasanton, one of only a handful of OSHA Authorized Education Centers across the U.S., and the Y2C Network offer multiple programs designed to fill the employment demands for safety professionals while helping you enter the robust Bay Area job market.
