Those motivated to develop skills, knowledge, and expertise in specialized fields offer consulting and support services—either as an entrepreneur or as an employee of a specialized business. These programs offer a level of flexibility making these programs appealing if you want to develop a main or side-employment track.

Description: Find employment in the horticultural field or prepare for advanced certificates through this program. Open to all, including students with mild-to-moderate learning disabilities. Learn to identify plants and select their proper care and maintenance. Recognize typical horticultural pests and diseases while learning how to research treatment. Foundational certificate for Certificates in Landscape Maintenance and Construction; Nursery, Greenhouse and Grower Operations; and Landscape Design. Qualify for jobs as retail garden sales associate, landscaper, parks maintenance worker, nursery/plant worker, and golf course greenskeeper.
