Network Management

The Network Services staff support the development and operation of CLPCCD’s data networks. There are three components of the District’s network environment:

• Administrative Network serves staff with assigned administrative responsibilities
• Instructional Network serves faculty and students
• Wireless Networks serve the public and Internet-of-things devices

The District designs, implements, manages and maintains all network equipment from the Internet to the data jacks in the wall and the wireless network access points as well as connections among the Colleges and the District Office.

The Corporation for Education Network Initiatives in California (CENIC) provides internet connectivity at both Chabot and Las Positas Colleges. The Colleges and District Office are connected via AT&T Switched Ethernet (ASE) circuits for internal traffic.
