Accreditation Overview

Chabot College and Las Positas College are fully accredited by the Accrediting Commission for Community and Junior Colleges, Western Association of Schools and Colleges, an institutional accrediting body recognized by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation and the U.S. Department of Education.  See links on the right to take you to the College accreditation webpages.

The Colleges of the Chabot-Las Positas CCD are accredited every six years. The Colleges and District work together on continuous improvement related to accreditation standards. Together, we focus on effective instruction, programs and services, planning and resource alignment, and governance while meeting our mission.

Throughout the continuous six-year review cycle, the Colleges conduct and publish review instruments that include: Annual Reports; Annual Fiscal Reports; Mid-term Reports, and Institutional Self-Evaluation Reports (ISER)
